I worked with Cora in a Woman to Woman ministry group. Cora was responsible for Publishing, Advertisements, and Announcements for our group. She is very creative.  Cora puts time and effort in her work to make sure it's done correctly.  She's a great leader, trustworthy, kind, always on time. Cora was the first to volunteer to help our team at St. Andrew United Methodist Church.

Hello. I am Cora Belle Marburger.  My administrative career began with my love for Camp Fire,  so I became a Camp Fire leader for my for a elementary group of girls, which included my daughter.  Over many years I volunteered for many jobs, which included membership campaigns, interviewed possible Camp Fire leaders, coordinated summer camp programs, coordinated awards committees, planned many Dallas area events, and then I accepted the position as the Dallas Area Service Manager.  This involved area monthly meetings with the area leaders, yearly membership directories, co-director summer camps,  membership drives, and yearly candy sale campaigns.

My administrative leadership, with marketing, and publicity which has evolved over time with:
  • Corporate jobs, virtual assistant (VA) clients, and volunteer jobs at my church  (Woman to Woman's Ministry group,  a bookstore board member,  Vacation Bible School on the Education Committee, the secretary for the Christian Women's Fellowship, and the manager to the LOGOS program, a Children's Department).
  • Chambers of Commerce  (Allen, Richardson, and N. Dallas) taking notes during their monthly board meetings.

My favorite corporate positions were being an Administrative Assistant to a Senior Director at Texas Instruments in Dallas, TX, a Senior Administrative Assistant to the Senior Director at Fujitsu Services in Plano, TX and the Executive Assistant for several Vice President's at Affiliated Computer Services, in Dallas, TX.  I have over 22-years experience within administrative corporate positions, virtual administrative support positions, and 15-years volunteer positions.  I received an A.A.S. degree and nine certificates in Office Administration, Plano, TX.

My virtual assistant training began years ago with Virtual Assistant University (VAU), where I receive my virtual assistant certification. Janet Jordan was a wonderful mentor and friend to me, sadly she passed away years ago.  As a virtual assistant I have supported clients and associations with website design, transcription, desktop publishing, social media marketing, and human resources management. On the virtual side, presently I am involved with VAInsiers, VANA Forums, OBM Academy, and The Implementer's Club, to stay in touch with my clients and to learn from my virtual peers.

I have been involved in many leadership positions within local associations: International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP), American Business Women's Association, Dallas Area Communications Association, Business Professional Women, and Daughter of American Revolution, International Association Virtual Office Assistants, and International Virtual Assistants Virtual Associations.  My favorite leadership positions were being the Chapter President, for two-consecutive years, Secretary, and the Marketing Publicity Chair (IAAP), after visiting and becoming a member of several local chapter in the Dallas, Texas area.  I championed several committees which involved newsletters and certification.  I was awarded several outstanding employee and member awards from my corporate jobs, IAAP, and Camp Fire.

My LinkedIn profile shows my social media presence, administrative and marketing skills.  I have really enjoyed every minute of my executive assistance and virtual assistance training. My corporate and virtual assistant mentors gave me the experience and knowledge to succeed in business.

As you can see, I am very proud of all my accomplishments within my corporate, virtual business, and volunteer positions.  I thank everyone who came across my career path for my valuable learning in the administrative field.

I am the Social Media Manager to  Next Chapter Alpacas.
